Pat Courtney passed away in 2003. We were teammates with the Chicago Colleens of the AAGPBL. Later we played on a softball team together in the Boston area for many years. Pat was from Everett, MA, and the city of Everett dedicated a public plaque in memory of Pat and her achievements. For my book, "A League of My Own," I interviewed Pat and told her story. Pat was looking forward to going to the 60th Anniversary of the founding of the AAGPBL Reunion at the Baseball Hall of Fame, but she died shortly before the reunion. We missed you, Pat.
